Grame/free verses in chp 2
Grame/Free verses in chapter 2

Chapter 2 is the first initialed chapter. Its declaration (see Glossary), ALM, is the entire verse. There are 19 such declarations, while, others appear at the beginning of the verses, followed by text. Often, the initial counts are individually divisible within each chapter. In other cases, the initials from several chapters interact to form a larger set with divisible sum.

The grame and free verses in chapter 2 display intricate relationships among each other. As shown in the Fig., there are 114 free verses which split into two equal sets of 57 even and 57 odd verses. Similarly, the remaining 172 grame verses split half and half into 86 even and 86 odd verses. It is interesting that these 2 sets of 86 are nicely represented in the verses of chapter two, 286! The bottom horizontal arrow links 86 with its ord 57.

The 172 GV's, further split into two sets of grame 1 and higher (G1 and GH arrows, respectively and the dotted arrow). There are 98 G1's and 74 GH's. Here, we note the references to 19; 74 is the only chapter where 19 is mentioned and 98 is the verses of 19. Hence, the verses form a four way split: 286 = (114 FV = 57 EV + 57 OV) + 98 G1 + 74 GH, pointing to deeper interrelationships. 114, the number of chapters, coincides with the count of the initial letter Q, which appears 57 times in chapter 42 and 57 times in chapter 50. We note, the verses of 42 and 50, 53 and 45, respectively, add up to 98. Finally, 42 + 53 + 50 + 45 = 190 = 19 × 10.

The ALM count in chapter 2 is 9899 (Appendix 1). Note, 2 × 9899 = 19798, an amazing reference to 19 and its 798 count of initials! Now, 9899 = 19 × 521, where the quotient 521 is of index 98 and 98 + 521 = 619, which is of index 114 = 6 × 19! We may consider 9899 as concatenation of 98 and 99. Both 98 and 99 have 8 verses, and 8 is index of 19. Additionally, from 99 to 114 there are 98 verses! Base verse 98 is at position 19 in descending order from 286 and at position 10 when restricted to the initialed chapters, only, reaffirming 19 and its ord, 10.

The 13th G1 is verse 62, and 1362 is the sum of the GV's at 2:83. This is also the verse count at 9:127 (1362 is of index 1143 = 9 × 127). The link to chapter 9 is further reinforced when one notes the verse count from 2:83 to 9:127 is 1273 = 19 × 67, which is the grame at 9:127! Plus, 67 is of index 19 and 2:67 is the 19th GV and chapter 67 is the 19th chapter where, it is smaller than its verses! Moreover, chapter 67 has 30 verses, and from 30 to 67 there are 1862 = 19 × 98 verses! Verse 2:98 is the 19th even numbered GV with grames add up to 26, an indirect hint at 2698, the total grame. The 16th GV is verse 72, an indirect hint at 1672, the initial count of chapter 29.

Chapters 2 and 3, together with chapters 29-32 form two sets of consecutive chapters initialed with ALM. The sum of these six chapters is 127 (verses of 9). The ALM count from the 2nd set, is 4313. We recognize the reference to 13 and its 43 verses. A powerful link between 9 and 13 is established by the fact that from 9 to 13 there are 5 chapters with 513 = 19 × 27 verses. And 27 is of ord 13.
