Chp 2 is the largest and the first initialed chp, and with the largest count of initials. As such, it occupies a special place among both init and un-init chps. It is the first of a group of six ALM initialed chps. The declaration (see Glossary) itself makes up the entire verse. In general, there are total of 19 such declarations. The remaining 10 form only part of the beginnings of the first verses. This also hints at the fact that chp 19 is of ord 10. Most often the init-counts are individually divisible within each chp as is the case with the ALM chps, for instance. This is in contrast to other init-chps where the counts of initials interact with other chps to form a larger set of chps with divisible sum, i.e., the seven HM chps.
The normal and free verses in chp two obey intricate relationships with each other. As we see in the Fig., there are 114 FV's which are divided into two equal sets of 57 even and 57 odd verses. Similarly, the remaining 172 GV's, are divided half and half into 86 even and 86 odd verses. It is interesting that these 2 sets of 86 are nicely encoded in the total number of verses, 286! The GV's are themselves further divided into two sets of single and higher normed verses (G1 and GH arrows respectively) as shown by the dotted arrow. As illustrated, there are 98 G1's and 74 GH's for a total of 172. Again, here, we see the direct reference to 19 via 98 and 74: chp 74 is the only place where 19 is mentioned and of course 98 is the verses of 19. There are more references to 98 when we cover the initials in this chp. So, we may write 286 = 114 + 98 + 74, as the sum of the free, single and higher normed verses respectively, in chp 2. It's quite interesting that the total number of chps, the verses of chp 19 and the chp where number 19 is mentioned, are all so nicely featured in the verses of this chp;-) We'll see more such intricate relationships below. And finally, the horizontal arrow points to chp 86 as the 57th ord.
Being the largest chp with largest sets of initial counts give rise to properties which provide numerous connections to several other chps as we'll see. It's count of ALM initials is 9899 = 19 × 521, which is the maximum count of initials among the 29 init-chps. We can see several important aspects of these numbers. First, lets consider 9899 as a concatenation of 98 and 99. Both chps 98 and 99 have 8 verses (in isotupe with base verse 8), and 8th prime is 19 which has 98 verses. From 99 to 114 there are 98 verses! The quotient 521 is 98th prime and 521 + 98 = 619 is 114th prime and 114 = 6 × 19! Base verse 98 is at position 19 in descending order from 286 and at the same time it is at position 10 among the base verses of the init-chps only, again in descending order from 286. This latter runs in parallel with the fact that chp 19 itself is of ord 10! The relationship between the two init-chps 2 and 19 is further strengthened by the fact that 2 × 9899 = 19798, which, is immediately recognizable as 19 followed by its 798 initial counts!!!
When we look at the normal and free verses in chp two, we come across several important links to various chps and verses. For instance, the 13th G1 is verse 62, and 1362 is the sum of the GV's at 2:83. This is also the number of all the verses up to the end of chp nine, 9:127. What makes this intriguing is that from 2:83 to 9:127 there are 1273 = 19 × 67 verses, which is exactly the accumulative norm at 9:127! Now, 67 is the 19th prime and 2:67 is the 19th GV and chp 67 is the 19th CGV! Additionally, chp 67 has 30 verses, and from 30 to 67 there are 1862 = 19 × 98 verses!!! Verse 2:98 also happens to be the 19th even numbered GV and their norms add up to 26, an indirect reference to 2698, the total norm at the end of the book. Chp 98 is of ord 69, with 69 being the verses of 29. The 16th GV is verse 72, which serves as a reference to 1672, the init count of chp 29.
Chps 2 and 3, together with chps 29-32 form two groups of consecutive chps initialed with ALM. The sum of these six chps is 127. From the 2nd set, we get 4313 as the sum of their ALM counts. We recognize both numbers: 127 is the verses of chp 9 and 43 is verses of chp 13. From 9 to 13 there are 5 chps with 513 = 19 × 27 as their verses.
